About the Event
Welcome to the Girls Rising Movement, a body-positivity programme for girls aged 10-14 and their mothers to navigate puberty and menstruation without embarrassment, secrecy or shame.
"I am a Moon Child": In this session we explore Menstruation. The menstrual cycle, period products, blood, hormones and discharge.
The Mother-Daughter retreat will take place at the beautiful Strawbale studio in Epping Green Hertfordshire. These monthly sessions that will explore themes of body positivity and body literacy for girls to explore in a safe and nurturing environment with their mothers.
This is an opportunity to connect on a deeper level with your daughter, have fun and rest in the beautiful Strawbale Studio and its surroundings. You will get chance to connect with other Mother's and the girls to connect together separately too. We will be inspired by stories.
